That Light

A face radiant and a glowing smile,
Is it the truth or all lies?
Desperate attempts to hide those teary eyes,
Puffing smoke hoping this time would fly.
Behind closed doors, she is in a state of despair,
Soundless shrills and muffled screams fill the air.
Expected to have a low tone in this patriarch world, is it even fair?
Independence comes wrapped in comments for her.
Argumentative, hence she is rude,
Those who label her with names, for once, do you even brood?
Her blood says she is not one worth staying with,
She is called ungrateful who would die alone in some pit.
She struggles to ensure you have all,
Yet misjudged and being called unworthy of all.
Dawn, dusk or night,
She prays to Almighty with all her might.
Please kill me, Lord!“, is what entails every prayer,
Shattered lies all her layers.
She drags herself through each passing day,
Hoping she would reach that rainbow one day,
Hoping there would be colors in her life one fine day!
